Clay handprints for Granny and Grandpa
To make the dough : Mix 1 Cup of salt 2 Cups of flour and 1 Cup of water together and knead the dough until it has the same consistency as play dough.
Add more water if it is too difficult to handle or more flour if it is too runny. To make the handprints : Roll the dough out until it is about 3 cm thick (approximately 1 inch) - you can place it inside a picture frame, if you're making more than one handprint, so that it forms a perfect rectangle. Place your child's right hand on the dough and firmly press it down into the dough.
If you have 2 children, then make a handprint of your second child's left hand and for 3 children, use the same side hand for the print (either all left or all right). Now bake your clay hand prints in a warm oven (180deg C) for about 1 hour. Let it cool down and spray paint your prints white for a more dramatic effect and mount it in a picture frame of your choice.
